We have used OpenOffice Base attached to our remote MySQL db in PublicPIM to create a report and are assured we can use it throughout all of its applications.
We also used PHPRunners trial to create an app using the on-line database.
Javeline has just announced that their datagrid has been updated and has an on-line demo of it executing. A small preview of the datagrid that’s in Javeline PlatForm 1.0:

We hope to have it included in a NEW 5.4 version within the month.

Well as of 1/28/08 we published version 0.5.3 and it has been listed at hundreds of sites.
One site in particular http://www.freewarehome.com/ is getting phenominal numbers. Over 250 just from them over this last weekend.
Now if installs would follow those, it would be great.
With 0.5.3 I am considering it too be a Silver Release Candidate as everything is working great.
Silver not Gold because Projects and Products are still rudimentary but work properly.
Hope I can get some of the hundreds of downloaders to strike up some questions and dialog.
Feedback would be invaluable to getting an idea of how to create more installs.
Our 3 Part Process works flawlessly so I am surprised that our download/install ratio is so unbalanced.

ppContact a multitabbed form created with Zend Studio has sucessfully been added to our OpenDB.org website and proven its capability to interact with the MySQL database. It uses a minimal data entry so all or nothing is done with color codes showing things that are "Must enter". This feature has been added to the registration form used by the application both at the demo site www.publicpim.org and our OpenDB User Group site http://www.opendb.org/membership/regform.php .

Another feature that is currently being worked on are scripts to install and/or update PublicPIM on a users website. Expect this to be done before the end of November.

Good Morning Updating this 4/07/08
Update Using Javeline now from www.javeline.nl RIA framework Beta and results can be seen at
http://www.opendb.org/publicpim/pp-index.php
Please register ay
http://www.opendb.org/membership/regform.php so you can see how it works .
If you enter bogus data the records will be deleted and nothing will happen.
Also have found two new tools to help with our import/export routines of vcard info
First is vcard4Outlook allows us to export from Outlook.
Second is vCardOrganizer which is handy for massaging the cards between exporting from Outlook and importing to PublicPIM.

Note as of 4/07/08 Never got very far with XI-Factory as it didn't allow me to name my project and was difficult to deal with.
Good Morning, Well our latest venture has been introducing PublicPIM to Azur technologies in Canada.
They have an online RAD product called XI-Factory where you can create your application online in a friendly visual manner. They use XML as their database so we created an XML schema that they should be able to use as a sample of Many to Many relationships for their subscribers. They can be reached at http://www.xi-community.ca/
Our other research of potential users involves the folks who develop software that create Rich Internet Applications. They run the gamut from FREE to 12,000 dollars a developer seat.

The beauty of "Rich Internet Applications" is that what you create for the Web runs like a Destop Application and can be run on the Desktop as well.
